There are so many pieces to HST/CCSS — student privacy, mental health of students, profiteering by testing companies, poor quality tests — you might find the group Best Practices helpful too. California has two new student privacy laws signed by our Governor last month. Exciting…but does it end up removing an argument against tests in the end? Hard to say. It is an improvement over toothless FERPA.
