California School News 8 years, 5 months ago This piece by LAUSD parent activist Mary Johnson illustrates the chronic disregard and minimization of parent input, whether through DELAC/ELAC, SSC, or other structures, or new LCAP Parent Advisory Council structures (which build off SSCs).
How can we ensure parents and students get to the table and have real say? (Obviously, teachers have impact on LCAP budget decisions but I leave them to wrestle with their union apparatuses).
